Akikaran School Transformation Fellowship is a leadership development journey where fellows will get multiple opportunities to grow and learn. In two years, through our Fellowship program, we provide an opportunity to most promising individuals, from different universities and workplaces, to serve as full-time School associates working in some of the Assam’s most under-resourced schools. Through this experience of teaching in classrooms and working with key education stakeholders like students, principals, Government and parents, our fellows will implement our school transformation program and get exposed to the grassroots realities of North East’s education system and begin to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to attain positions of leadership in the education system and identify their larger role in nation building.

With the help of Akikaran Team, fellows will be responsible to building capacity in Headmasters, Teachers and Parents to transform the life of the children through Training Programs, Master learning circles, Parents champ Community meetings and School Management Committee meetings. Fellows will be working on ground to understand systemic and regional challenges.

In the process of transforming a school system, fellows will get a learning and challenging work environment where they will experience a holistic growth as a true leader. A chance to lead a movement to reimagine education for children of North East. A chance to step into the development sector and develop skills to take up multiple roles post it with the gained skill sets and competencies required in development sector.
